We are always looking for ways to incorporate STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) into our activities. Building a leprechaun trap is a great way for children to use their imaginations and have fun!
For this activity you can simply gather many materials and let the learners build a leprechaun trap. You might want to discuss how big leprechauns are or what leprechauns want to take.
For younger learners, you may also want to work on their fine motor skills. This can be achieved by letting them cut out and color the Totetude Leprechaun Trap printable.
1. Either place cereal or draw coins on the center of the trap.
2. Learners roll tape (sticky-side out) and place on each point. Learners can decide if they want the tape on the tips or at the base of each point.
3. Try to blow the leprechaun to the center of the trap without getting stuck on tape!
